This two-day Foran Options licensing seminar will appeal to investment advisors seeking options license and those who are interested in derivatives trading in Canada. Successful completion of the Options Licensing Course (OLC) positions you closer to earning your Derivatives Market Specialist designation.

The seminar will help you prepare for the OLC exam, by educating you on the rules and regulations associated with options trading, including those of IIROC, the Montreal Exchange and the CDCC.

OLC Content Covered:

This two-day seminar will cover essential topics including determining client suitability, strategies based on market outlook and risk tolerance level; opening and maintaining retail options accounts, executing orders on exchanges, payment options, exercise assignment or option expiry; Canadian tax implications of listed options trading; opening and maintaining institutional options accounts; the role of clearing corporations and exchanges in listed options trading; contract adjustments and special considerations and risks of non-equity options.
